The Undercurrent is a university newspaper that is written, edited, distributed, and sponsored by volunteers and donors. These individuals are passionate about promoting Objectivist ideas in the culture.
Whether you are a student who can distribute the paper on campus, an aspiring essayist, or you have some money to help cover the costs of printing and shipping, you can help bring the unique Objectivist viewpoint to tens of thousands of young minds every semester.
He who fights for the future, lives in it today. --Ayn Rand
Write
We are always looking for new writers. Writers of every level are encouraged to submit an outline for an article, from a short blog post to a full essay for the print edition. You will work one-on-one with a member of our editorial staff from outline to draft to finished product. Find out more.
Distribute
Attract new Objectivists, advertise your club, and get Ayn Rand's name into the discourse on your campus. Find out more.
Donate
You can help bring Objectivism to those who will be best equipped to use it (and are most lost without it): our burgeoning intellectuals. Donations bring the paper to campuses where there is no club budget for printed copies. Find out more.
Flyers
These flyers offer Objectivism’s unique perspective on the economic crisis now facing America. They aim to educate a non-Objectivist audience about recent events and inspire them to learn more about Objectivism’s unique approach to understanding these issues. Distributing flyers is an effective, inexpensive way to raise awareness about current issues and Objectivism, more generally. Distributing is easy–simply download and photocopy! Use them on campus, at a local Tea Party, or anywhere else that you think they might attract attention.
| Print and post this flyer to generate interest on a campus where you distribute or to encourage students to visit our website. The poster even has tear-off tabs with our website address! | |
| This flyer, by TU's Ryan Puzycki, presents an analysis of the financial crisis – what caused it and why is the government’s response morally and practically bankrupt? This would be great to pass out at Tea Parties! | |
| This flyer, designed by TU's Victoria Genther, includes pertinent excerpts from our articles about the current financial crisis. |
